INFO TOUCH TEAMS WITH COMEDY CENTRAL AND COX COMMUNICATIONS
TO OFFER HIGH TECH E-SERVICE INTERNET KIOSKS AT CIRCLE K LOCATIONS
IN THE PHOENIX, ARIZONA MARKETConsumers Can Pay Their Cable Bill, Access Driving Directions, Check Out
COMEDY CENTRAL's Web Site And More While Making a Pit Stop at Circle K
Burnaby, BC, November 29, 2001

NEW YORK, NY, November 29, 2001 -- Thanks to a unique partnership between Circle K, COMEDY CENTRAL, Cox Communications and Info Touch, Circle K stores in the Phoenix area are now offering high tech convenience. Consumers at select Circle K locations in the metro Phoenix, Arizona area can surf the web, send e-mail, pay their cable bill, and access video conferencing and world-wide telephone service.
Circle K owner Phillips Petroleum Co. added 75 kiosks to its stores throughout the greater Phoenix and Philadelphia areas. They plan to eventually put kiosks in half of its 12,000 Circle K and other stores nationally. To locate a participating Circle K, consumers are encouraged to call 800?527?5476.
The new public access Internet kiosks, which are slightly larger than in-store ATMs, will feature the convergence of traditional and new media solutions. The interactive kiosks offer consumers access to the Internet (some sites for free, others accessible for a fee), where they can pay bills, get local news, maps and driving directions. The "Speak Your Mind Portal" provides users the opportunity to record a message such as a funny joke or a commentary on a local issue. The consumer's vignette will then be stored on the kiosk for others to view.
"We are very excited to be working with Cox Communications' Phoenix cable system on this project," said Steve Males, vice president affiliate marketing, COMEDY CENTRAL. "With our Web site content and Info Touch's tools, we hope to provide the Circle K consumer with some entertainment while at the same time making it convenient for Cox customers to pay their bills or sign up for services. In addition, we see this as another avenue for COMEDY CENTRAL to brand our channel and web site outside of the usual promotional means."
One of the free Internet sites available through the kiosks will be Cox Communications' Web site where, among other things, customers can access personal account information, make payments and check on service availability. They can also explore special offers and sign up for digital video, voice and high-speed Internet services.
"Teaming up with Circle K, Info Touch and COMEDY CENTRAL enhances Cox's ability to deliver consumers unparalleled service in this highly competitive market," said Tony Maldonado, vice president of marketing, Cox Communications Phoenix. "We are committed to pursuing and acting on innovative opportunities that will make consumers' lives easier and more convenient, and this partnership underscores that commitment."
Canada-based Info Touch is a leader in Internet kiosk technology and, together with its partner Compaq Canada, has developed and installed 35 kiosks in the Phoenix area. If successful, Info Touch could eventually deploy as many as 650 kiosks across the Phillips/Circle K network in a phase II of the roll out in 2002.
"This new offering is an invaluable addition to the Zaplink e-services centers at Circle K," said Hamed Shahbazi, CEO and chairman, Info Touch Technologies. "Together with Cox and COMEDY CENTRAL, we are entertaining the patrons of one of the largest chain of company-owned convenience stores. Not only is this a fun and exciting entertainment venture for Info Touch, it is also an excellent business opportunity."
