MLGW to launch new, convenient
payment service at area Tigermarkets
Partnership with Info Touch Technologies to bring accessibility to all neighborhoods
Burnaby, BC, October 5, 2004

Citing a tremendous opportunity to enhance its accessibility and provide customers with additional payment options, Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division has teamed with Info Touch Technologies (IFT: TSX Venture) to launch a new service that now allows the utility’s 421,000 customers to pay their bills at some 34 Exxon Mobil Tigermarket locations in the Memphis metropolitan area.
MLGW customers can now make real-time, self-serve automated bill payments, 24-hours-a-day, through the E-Wiz Kiosk Network located in area Tigermarkets. Transactions may be securely completed in English or Spanish, and all payments will be immediately posted to the customer’s account. At this time, the touchscreen kiosks will accept cash payments only. Info Touch Technologies will collect from customers a $1 processing fee for each transaction; MLGW does not receive any revenue from this fee.
Utility officials say the new service is just one of several initiatives underway to enhance the service it offers to customers. “We’re very excited about this new service and the unprecedented convenience it offers our customers,” said MLGW President and CEO Joseph Lee, III. “MLGW and Info Touch share a common vision for utilizing the latest in technology to make fast, easy and cost effective bill payment services accessible in every neighborhood.”
Lee believes that the new E-Wiz kiosk payment services at local Tigermarkets will strengthen MLGW’s relationships with its customers by providing yet another avenue for its customers to access the utility. MLGW offers a number of additional payment options, including online and by telephone. Customers can also pay their bills at any of the utility’s five community offices and at several area businesses such as grocery stores and pharmacies that serve as MLGW paying agents.
Powered by Info Touch’s industry leading Surfnet Premiere software, these kiosks are making available a growing list of valuable services such as other post paid bill payment opportunities, prepaid PIN-based products and services (including ring tones and games), maps and directions and other financial and communication related services.
“This latest application underscores Info Touch’s drive to maximize the availability of high volume in-demand consumer applications for each and every kiosk network on both a regional and national scale.” said Hamed Shahbazi Chairman & CEO of Info Touch Technologies Corp.
