Info Touch Appoints New COO
BURNABY, BC, June 18, 2002
Hamed Shahbazi, Chairman and CEO of Info Touch Technologies, North America's leading kiosk Technology Company, (www.infotouch.net) (IFT: TSX Venture Exchange) announces the appointment of Mr. James Sanders as Info Touch's new Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Sanders succeeds Jose Guerrero who has been instrumental in positioning Info Touch as one of the premiere companies in the self-serve automation industry. Mr. Guerrero who has occupied the combined positions of COO and CFO since January 2001 will now focus his efforts entirely as CFO.
Mr. Sanders joins Info Touch with over 20 years senior management experience with leading technology, and insurance companies in Canada and the United Kingdom. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Sanders held the positions of:
- Senior Executive Responsible for Services, Tiny Computers, UK's largest PC manufacturer
- Senior Executive Responsible for Customer Service, Kwik Fit Insurance Service (Edinburgh, UK)
- Head of Customer Service, DX Communications (Glasgow, UK)
Mr. Sanders has a proven track record in operations, logistics and administration and has been recognized by leading media organizations in the UK with numerous Customer Service Awards. Mr. Sanders attended Business Studies colloquiums at Edinburgh University in the United Kingdom.
Mr. Guerrero has over 16 years of experience in senior financial and operating positions including:
-Finance Director and Controller, Johnson & Johnson, Medical Division (Mexico); Controller, Wal-Mart Stores (Mexico);
-Business Development Manager, Marubeni-Fuyo Group (Canon, Hitachi, Nissan, Fuji Bank);
-Project Manager, Samsung Company; and -Operations Manager, Social Security Institute.
