Cricket Communications and Info Touch Technologies Partner
to Offer New E-Wiz Technology
E-Wiz Kiosks Allow Customers to Pay Bills, Surf the Internet
and Send E-mail and Photos at Memphis ExxonMobil Tigermarkets
MEMPHIS (May 31, 2004)

Cricket Communications and Info Touch Technologies (IFT:TSX
Venture) have partnered to offer Cricket customers a new, more convenient way to pay their
cellular phone bills.
On May 28, most Exxon Tigermarkets throughout Memphis will be furnished with “E-Wiz” kiosks. These free-standing kiosks will allow customers to pay their Cricket bill, surf the Internet, access and send e-mail and photos, research and print travel maps and directions, and much more. Cricket bills can only be paid in cash, while the other services can be purchased with cash or a credit or debit card. There is a $3 charge for Cricket customers to pay their bill at the kiosks.
“We are excited that ExxonMobil Tigermarkets will offer this new technology that gives customers a more convenient way to take care of daily business, such as accessing e-mail, paying bills and surfing the Web,” said Nitu Arora, area general manager for Cricket Communications. “We’re looking forward to being part of a growing technology focused on serving customers in more convenient ways.”
The E-Wiz kiosk technology was developed by Info Touch Technologies, based in Burnaby, B.C., a leading provider of kiosk security and management software solutions. The industry-leading SurfNet Premiere software is used to power the kiosks.
“Our SurfNet Premiere software was designed with this exact application in mind,” said Hamed Shahbazi, chief executive officer of Info Touch Technologies. “Users love the simple design, which is one reason for its unprecedented success.”
The E-Wiz services will expand to include money transfer, money-order purchasing, other bill payment, prepaid telecommunications and prepaid mobile phone content such as games and ringtones. Plans are to partner with additional companies to offer these services in the coming months.
With the E-Wiz technology, all bills and services can be paid in cash. Many of Cricket’s Memphis customers pay their bills in cash each month – a trend not surprising due to the area’s reputation as a cash-transaction-oriented culture, Arora said.
Cricket has served the Memphis area since October 2000. In addition to its three retail stores, Cricket® phones and service are available at more than 60 authorized dealers throughout the Memphis market.
About Cricket Service
With Cricket® service, customers can make unlimited local calls over their service area for a low rate of $29.99 per month, plus taxes and fees. This past year, Cricket Communications launched Cricket Unlimited™, which offers unlimited local and long-distance services and text messaging for just $54.99 per month plus taxes and fees ($49.99 per month with Automatic Bill Payment). Caller ID, Call Waiting and Voicemail are also included. Cricket service is an affordable wireless alternative to traditional landline service and appeals to people completely new to wireless – from students to young families and local business people. The company serves 39 markets in 20 states across the country. For more information, visit www.mycricket.com.
