“The company is pleased to report the continued growth in recurring revenue,” stated Hamed Shahbazi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Info Touch. “Going forward, our primary focus is threefold; growing and optimizing the transactional revenue on its kiosk networks; growing the number of kiosks deployed and growing the number of applications and optimizing their effectiveness.”
Recognizing the significant growth potential of recurring transactional revenue, the Company has transitioned to a corporate ownership model that captures a majority of the lifetime revenue potential of each deployed device. Transactional revenue represents the fastest growing and most profitable segment of the Company’s business and along with new kiosk deployments is an excellent measure of the Company’s performance.
For the three months ended January 31, 2004, compared to one year ago, the number of kiosks has increased to 219 from 37, and transactional revenue has increased 107%, accounting for $758,556 or 47% of total quarterly revenue. The Total recurring revenue which includes both transactional and maintenance revenue increased by 209% to account for $938,407 or 58.5% of total quarterly revenue.
Info Touch is committed to an aggressive business strategy to build a North American self-service automated kiosk network. With a business model increasingly focused on consumer funded transaction fees referred to as “convenience fees”, the Company’s kiosks are equipped to merchandise recurring revenue services such as pre-paid telecommunications, wireless access (Wi-Fi), self-service lottery sales and pre-paid mobile phone content including games and ring tones. The kiosks also offer Personal Financial Services (PFS) applications such as bill payment, money transfer and other prepaid products and services.
