Fitness Venture Group Partners With Info Touch Technologies
To Roll-Out Kiosks To Health Clubs Across North America
March 7, 2002

Fitness Venture Group (www.fitnessventuregroup.com), the leading provider of web-based software platforms and e-marketing solutions to the rapidly growing fitness industry, has entered into an exclusive strategic marketing alliance with Info Touch Technologies Corp. (www.infotouch.net) (CDNX: IFT) to provide leading health clubs and active lifestyle businesses with the latest in e-commerce kiosk technology. Fitness Venture's North American client base of 800 locations includes leading clubs such as Gold's Gym International, Inc., Fitworks and Lifestyle Family Fitness.
The web-enabled electronic kiosks, powered by Info Touch software and Compaq hardware, will be deployed in select health clubs to deliver interactive fitness and nutrition programs to club members and serve as a virtual e-commerce store at the 'point of influence'. Specifically, the terminals will be used to offer club-level access to Fitness Venture's FitnessInsite Version 2 service offering, which includes:
- 250 professionally designed and customizable workout programs
- 4,000 meal plans as part of an easy-to-use and personalized nutrition module
- Access to thousands of fitness tips and articles on living a healthy lifestyle
- A robust e-commerce store featuring the top brands in vitamins and supplementation
"Based on our extensive research of the kiosk market, Info Touch stands out as a proven leader in the space and we are pleased to award them with this exclusive distribution agreement to offer our clients the best-in-class turn-key e-commerce kiosk," said Pete Moore, Director of Business Development at Fitness Venture Group. "The kiosk program will allow us to market our web services directly to club members and provide a new revenue stream for club operators who utilize our web-based member relationship management platform."
Shane Edmonds, Fitness Venture Group's Chief Technology Officer, remarks, "We think this technology will become the focal point for information and e-commerce in our partner clubs. As such, it is crucial to target consumers while they are at the club focusing on their health. We strongly believe this technology will enable our clients to create a competitive advantage by providing more services to members and enhancing communication throughout the club environment."
"We are absolutely thrilled to be awarded this much sought after contract by Fitness Venture Group, the largest provider of branded, interactive web services to the active lifestyle market. Providing convenient access to personalized content for the fitness industry, an $11 billion market, is an extremely valuable extension to our already successful market build-out with retail-based businesses," said Hamed Shahbazi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Info Touch.
Both companies expect to derive revenue from the sale of kiosk-related products and services as well as an expected increase in ecommerce and online member sign-up fees.
