Hamed Shahbazi, 31, is the Chairman and CEO of TIO Networks Corp. (formerly Info Touch Technologies Corp ) which has been honored as one the fastest growing companies in Canada by PROFIT 100 Magazine. TIO Networks has been ranked 49th on the magazine’s PROFIT 100 List based on its percentage sales growth of 1367% over the past five years from 1997-2002. Hamed Shahbazi has also been named to the Hall of Fame of the PROFIT Magazine youngest leader on the PROFIT 100 in the year 2003.

Under his leadership, TIO Networks has been recognized as one of the top 50 Canadian technology growth companies with the Deloitte & Touche Fast 50 Award and the Deloitte & Touche Fast 500 Award In December 2001, Business in Vancouver presented Mr. Shahbazi with the prestigious 40 Under 40 Award in recognition for his achievements as one of top performers in business, public or private life.

Business in Vancouver acknowledged in particular his contribution in securing Compaq Canada Corp.’s (now owned by Hewlett Packard) 20% equity investment in Info Touch Technologies Corp as well as other major transactions with organizations such as Circle K, ConocoPhillips Corp, the US Military, etc… Mr. Shahbazi’s direct involvement, energy, and vision have been integral in helping TIO Networks secure strategic alliances with companies, such as: Hewlett-Packard (HP), Microsoft, First Data, Telus Communications, Leap Wireless and Qwest Communications.

Hamed’s leadership role has been key to establishing an impressive client base among Fortune 1000 companies and organizations, such as: Exxon Mobil, Marathon Oil, Chapters Indigo, Coca Cola Corp, Best Buy Canada, Macs/Couche-Tard, Circle K, Nestle, Procter & Gamble, KB Home, Chase Manhattan Bank, Merrill Lynch / HSBC, MCI, the U.S. Army, Marines Corps and Navy.

Mr. Shahbazi earned his Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia in 1997. His areas of specialization were fluid mechanics, environmental engineering and engineering economics. Hamed has also completed Harvard Law’s program on Negotiation for Business Executives.

Mr. Shahbazi’s business achievements are only paralleled by his community involvement. In 1996/7, he was nominated for volunteer of the year by Unicef BC. He has a deep history of volunteering for grass roots development and community based cases.
